As Legal Counsel IT Law, you will provide focused, practical legal support at the intersection of IT contracting, data privacy, and IT security.
Your role is to help embed regulatory requirements into IT procurement at scale--by advising on selected high‑volume contracts, shaping standards and tools, and translating legal obligations into workable guidance for IT and procurement teams.
You will support a defined set of high‑volume IT contracts, focusing on matters where legal input is most valuable. Your role is not to advise on all IT contracts day‑to‑day, but to provide targeted legal support on selected topics and projects. You will work closely with the IT Sourcing & Compliance team within the IT Department, collaborating regularly to ensure aligned legal positions and smooth handling of IT procurement matters.
A key part of your role will be supporting the integration of data privacy, IT security, and other relevant regulatory requirements into IT procurement and sourcing processes. You will help ensure that contracts and procurement models take GDPR, cybersecurity, and related compliance requirements into account from the start. By translating legal requirements into clear and practical guidance, you will help IT and procurement teams work efficiently while staying compliant.
You will support the development and improvement of templates, guidelines, and compliance standards used in IT contracting. Rather than negotiating every contract yourself, you will help ensure that legal and compliance requirements are built into the tools and processes used by IT and procurement teams. This will give you insight into how IT contracting works at scale and allow you to actively contribute to continuous improvement.
You will help monitor developments in IT law, data protection, and cybersecurity regulation and support the assessment of their impact on IT procurement. As part of a great team of legal and IT experts, you will help turn new requirements into practical guidance for internal stakeholders.
