At SKIDATA, we're looking for a visionary and experienced Senior Manager to lead a distributed team of ~20 software engineers across two locations. What You'll Do

• Lead and Inspire Teams:
  Take ownership of a cross-site development team, driving growth through mentoring, coaching, and clear goal-setting.
• Drive Change:
  Guide your team through cultural and technological transformation. Instill modern engineering principles and foster a mindset of ownership and continuous learning.
• Collaborate Across Functions:
  Partner closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and Architecture to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared ownership of deliverables.
• Advance Technical Excellence:
  Define and contribute to the technical vision. Promote best practices in agile software development, automation, and quality assurance.
• Optimize Processes:
  Identify and remove roadblocks--organizational and technical. Define KPIs and metrics to monitor and improve team performance and delivery efficiency.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of shaping how we build and deliver software. You'll lead transformation, inspire innovation, and help grow a modern, agile engineering culture.

What You Bring

You are a purpose-driven engineering leader who empowers teams to thrive. With a strong technical foundation and a passion for people, you know how to inspire, align, and deliver.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years in software development, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven success leading distributed, cross-functional teams
• Deep understanding of Agile, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices
• Fluent in English and German, with strong communication and collaboration skills

Your Place of work Wals/Salzburg

We offer a competitive salary based on your qualifications and professional experience. The minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement is EUR 2,807.00 gross per month on a full-time basis. Of course, your actual salary will be adjusted in line with the market based on your qualifications.
